Gayle said she reluctantly called his team after the interview aired to see how they were feeling about it, and according to her, "They were really pleased. They thought people got to see how passionate he was. They got to see his pain, and maybe they got to look at it in a different way.” In the meantime, R Kelly had a show in Springfield, Illinois over the weekend, one that was set up long before “Surviving R. Kelly” aired. Sources say that tickets were originally $100, but fell to $50, and only about 50 people showed up.

Back in 2006, Elisabeth Hasselbeck almost quit “The View” because of an on-air comment by Barbara Walters. The two were engaged in a heated conversation on the air about the morning-after pill when Elisabeth was interrupted by Barbara, who told her she should “not go so crazy that you don’t listen to anybody’s opinions.” Now, years later, audio has surfaced of Elisabeth having a meltdown backstage.  She stormed off set once they went to commercial, but her mic was still on, through the F-bombs and all. She was venting to Joy Behar and Geddie, one of the show’s producers, that she wasn’t going to “sit there and get reprimanded on the air." In the end, they had to coax her to come back to the set. She and Barbara then fake-patched things up, but now that this audio is out, Elisabeth has something to say about it. She wrote on Instagram, “This just in: There were times when I was quite humanly reactive. I used a bad word when frustrated. I was pregnant with Taylor and a big conversation about the value and the lives of the unborn took place at ‘The View.’” So, why is this all coming out now? All we can guess is that someone from the show is about to announce they have a book coming out. Hmmm.....
