“Dawson’s Creek” actor James Van Der Beek found himself in the hospital on Thursday after suffering a nasty gash to his elbow after falling off his electric skateboard, according to AceShowbiz. He posted pics and video from the emergency room on Instagram and said, "I have a lot of fun with that thing (Onewheel), and it works great as long as the battery is above 10 percent, but when it's not, it gives a tiny bit of resistance and then it just nosedives without warning and that's when I went over the front of it.” James ended up with four stiches. James, his wife, Kimberly, and their five kids moved to Texas last month after a couple of weeks on the road. He was hoping this would be a fresh new start away from everyone, admitting they’re not really Hollywood people anyway.

Even though Britney Spears hasn’t been working, she does have a new song out. According to OK!,  Britney just dropped a never-before-released song that was originally recorded in 2016 called “Swimming in the Stars.” It’s an unreleased track from her Glory album. It’s exclusively available as a 12″ vinyl single at Urban Outfitters. The store is also releasing 10 more songs as UO Exclusive Singles by Billie Eilish, Fifth Harmony, Katy Perry, Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, and Shawn Mendes. According to Billboard, the single will be available for purchase for two weeks at Urban Outfitters before a wider release to streaming platforms. It won’t ship until January 15, however.

Kobe Bryant has been ranked #6 on Forbes’ "Highest-Paid Dead Celebrities of 2020" list. In the months following his death on January 26 this year, his estate pulled in an estimated $20 million in earnings, mostly from shoes and apparel. Also, Kobe's 2018 autobiography, "The Mamba Mentality: How I Play" sold more than 300,000 copies this year, ten times the number of copies it did in 2019, according to Forbes. TMZ reports that after the Lakers won the NBA championship in October, Kobe’s jersey was the #2 seller behind Finals MVP LeBron James. As for the rest of the Forbes list, Michael Jackson is still #1 with $48 million, followed by Dr. Seuss at #2 with $33 million. Peanuts creator Charles Schulz is #3 with $32.5 million, Arnold Palmer is #4 with $25 million, and at #5 is Elvis with $23 million. Elvis' estate lost a ton of money this year because tourism at his legendary home Graceland was hit hard by the pandemic shutdowns. In more Kobe news, the hoop Kobe practiced on as a child is going to auction. TMZ Sports reports that just before Kobe’s childhood home in Pennsylvania sold for $810,000 earlier this month, the seller decided to pull the backboard and the rim from the listing after the buyer wasn't interested in paying more for its inclusion.

“Good Bones” star Karen Laine's Indianapolis home was burglarized recently, making it the third time her house had been broken into… and the second time someone left behind a #2, according to TMZ. She told FOX59, "It's sort of an epithet to say ‘I poop on you.’" Karen thinks it’s the same person, since they did the same thing last time in the same place (the garage). Karen’s husband’s bike got stolen, along with her purse. Karen is a former prosecutor, so as soon as she noticed her credit cards being used, she started contacting those places for surveillance video. And, of course, if there’s anything we ever learned from the movie “Horrible Bosses,” the police should be able to extract some DNA.

The 2020 E!’s People’s Choice Awards went down last night in Los Angeles. Demi Lovato hosted and joked that the COVID-19 pandemic drove her to get engaged. She said, “COVID hit and everything shut down, so I did what everyone else did, I went into lockdown mode and got engaged." She added, "I tested the limits of Postmates Unlimited. I also didn't know this could happen, but I reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of 'Pretty Little Liars,' got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert, so basically the same as everyone else." “Pretty Little Liars” star Sasha Pieterse and Hudson Sheaffer have welcomed a baby boy. She shared a pic of the three of them on Instagram and wrote, “After 27 hours of labor Hendrix Wade Sheaffer made his grand entrance on November 6th at 5:39am weighing in at 7lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches tall. We are absolutely in love with him and we still can’t believe he’s ours.”

The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.” Olivia and Jason are parents to son Otis Alexander, 6, and daughter Daisy Josephine, 4.

Nathan Apodaca, the viral Fleetwood Mac "Dreams" skateboarder, just bought a new house. He plopped down $320,000 in cash for a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom place in his hometown of Idaho Falls, according to TMZ. It’s an upgrade for sure since Nathan was living in an RV parked in front of his brother's house with no running water. This is just one of the many good things that has happened for Nathan after he posted a video of himself drinking Ocean Spray juice and lip-synching to Fleetwood Mac while cruising on his skateboard. He got donations, his merchandise site took off, Ocean Spray gave him free juice and a truck, he got props from Fleetwood Mac members, and he got engaged. On top of that, he just got some new veneers worth a whopping $40k, courtesy of Dr. Aamir Wahab. And why not? He sure has a lot of things to smile about these days.

A judge in Texas has dismissed the $100,00 lawsuit filed against Brad Pitt by a woman claiming he was somehow responsible for promises made by someone impersonating Brad online. As we told you, Kelli Christina claimed she paid Brad $40,000 to make appearances, which he would cancel each time, and she added that he said they were discussing marriage. Fast-forward to Kelli filing suit against the real Brad for not doing enough "to protect his fans from imposters," according to Page Six. The judge called the case "meritless” and granted the motion to dismiss filed by Brad's lawyers. Kelli said she tried to contact the real Brad when she found she was being catfished, explaining, "Brad Pitt ignored all [my problems] [for] a year and a half. He was contacted [about the ordeal] at Make It Right [his production company], Plan B Entertainment, his Los Angeles home and his Beverly Hills attorney [in] the summer of 2019. All problems [were] ignored and yet it's his name and reputation [being used to defraud people]."

“A Thousand Years” singer Christina Perri gave an update on the prenatal emergency that landed her in the hospital. Even though she’s been discharged, Christina explained, "There's a lot more that we have to be cautious of. Baby could come at any moment. Basically there's a complication with the baby's intestines. The baby right now is scheduled to have an operation when they arrive. We'll spend some time in the hospital." She added, "We're going to prepare for [the NICU], but anything could happen. We're just gonna stay really hopeful. I guess the biggest thing is we hope the baby stays inside and can get as big as possible before this big event they have to go through. It's just a couple more weeks, so I'm gonna try to take it easy and hope for the best."

A man has been arrested for punching "Ghostbusters" star Rick Moranis last month. The man believed to have attacked Rick was detained by transit officers in the subway system in Manhattan, with officials confirming the arrest in a tweet, reading, "Thanks to an eagle-eyed sergeant from @NYPDTransit, this suspect has been apprehended and charged."

"Girls Trip" actress Tiffany Haddish was among the celebrities at the 2020 People's Choice Awards on Sunday, and she was spotted crying on the red carpet. Why? Tiffany, who took home the Female Movie Star of 2020 award for her movie "Like a Boss," admitted she was uncomfortable because it has been a while since she put on makeup. She explained, I'm crying now because I haven't worn makeup in so long, my eyeballs are like what is this?" She added, “I haven't worn heels in a minute but it's what we do to style and profile... Blood, sweat and tears.” Thankfully, no one saw blood or sweat, just the tears.
