“Get Out” star Daniel Kaluuya is producing a live-action take on “Barney.” Apparently his film will explore the dark side of everyone’s purple friend. He said, “Barney taught us, ‘I love you, you love me. Won't you say you love me too?’ That's one of the first songs I remember, and what happens when that isn't true? I thought that was really heartbreaking. I have no idea why but it feels like that makes sense. It feels like there's something unexpected that can be poignant but optimistic. Especially at this time now, I think that's really, really needed.” At this point, plot details and casting is being kept under wraps. “Barney & Friends” originally aired on PBS from 1992-2009. He didn’t give any more details on where this is going to go, but if you grew up watching “Barney and Friends,” this movie may not be for you.

So, how’s Kanye West doing with his campaign for president these days? He spent $3 million of his own money last month and has received just under $2800 in donations. He’s only on the ballot in 11 states, which means everyone else would have to write his name in on the ballot if he even has a shot, according to NME.

WETV just released the first trailer for season seven of “Braxton Family Values,” and Tamar Braxton is furious because the clip shows her family reacting to the news of her attempted suicide. She wrote, “After waking up to that disgusting trailer...F**K @wetv and whomever else participating for using my pain for their pleasure and ratings‼" At some point this abuse HAS to STOP‼ and P.S. IM NOT FILMING FOR THIS SEASON! THEY ARE DOING THIS WHILE IM NOT ON THE SHOW‼ #SCUMBAGS.” If she’s going to be mad at WETV, then she also needs to be mad at four of her family members who contributed their thoughts to the clip. But, not to waste any opportunity, Tamar also took the chance to promote her tell-all interview with Tamron Hall next Wednesday.

Jessie J and Channing Tatum split again, and Jessie made the announcement in an Instagram post – sort-of. Jessie posted a video of her twerking like a maniac and wrote in the caption. "Single life in a pandemic is [crystal ball emoji].” I’m glad I’m not single because I’m not very good at twerking. See the video at AceShowbiz. Warning – the twerking could make you dizzy.

David Beckham got backlash yet again after sharing a picture of him kissing his nine-year-old daughter, Harper, on the lips. Some people said he was being “overly affectionate” with her while many others came to his defense. One commenter said, “Thank you for showing it is perfectly normal and right for a father to kiss his daughter on the lips as a sign of love and true affection.”

“Real Housewives of Miami” star Larsa Pippen is the latest celebrity victim of a home burglary. Thieves reportedly broke into her Los Angeles home this week, making off with a bunch of her “personal and high-valued items” – managing to beat her “elaborate security system” by disabling the block’s electricity. Larsa, who is married to baller Scottie Pippen, was in Miami at the time, oddly enough because she was dealing with a stalker in Los Angeles and wanted to get out of town, according to The Blast.

In real estate news…
You may recall the Florida home used as the Boggs family home in "Edward Scissorhands" was on the market. Well, now, the house has sold! Even better, it sold to fans of the movie, according to TMZ. The house went on the market for $224,000. Lots of people were interested, but one family – big fans of the movie – offered $6,000 above the asking price. The husband actually grew up in the area and had watched some of the movie being shot in the area when he was a kid.
The “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” house is up for sale. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home where Brad and Stacy Hamilton lived in the movie is going for $740,000. Of course, you know what happened in the bathroom and in the pool house, so keep that in mind. Actually, the pool house was fake. At least the wood paneling is gone, but it’s been replaced with egg-yolk colored paint.

Kate and Prince William may be proud parents to George, Charlotte and Louis, but they don’t actually have legal custody of any of their kids. According to reports, the “sovereign” – which could be the Queen – technically has custody of the minor royals, thanks to a 300-year-old royal rule. The Queen had custody of William and Prince Harry when they were minors too. That means she’s probably listed as an emergency contact at the school.

Bachelor Nation news…
“Bachelorette” star Emily Maynard revealed her newborn daughter’s name, sharing, “Welcome to the world Magnolia Belle Johnson.” She also told us her nickname for her fifth child, calling her “My sweet Nola Belle.”
Juan Pablo Galavis shared his reaction to Clare Crawley burning her blue “Bachelor” finale dress on Tuesday’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” tweeting, “She REALLY did that THAT?” Clare wore the dress in 2014 when she thought Juan was going to propose to her during the season finale…but he didn’t.

Holly Marie Combs is responding to backlash after she and her “Charmed” co-star Rose McGowan criticized the new reboot of the series. Sarah Jeffrey, who plays Maggie, the youngest sister, in the reboot, called Holly and Rose “pathetic” and “bitter” for saying the new series “sucks.” On Twitter, Holly says there’s nothing wrong with having a “difference in opinions about a TV show,” there’s no need to make “derogatory accusations of a person’s character.” Rose McGowan, on the other hand, had way more to say about it. Just Jared reports that she wrote this on social media;
“Dear Sarah Jeffery,
I honestly had no idea who you were til you tweeted. I have been too busy fighting monsters & fighting for a massive Cultural Reset to notice who’s in the reboot. Absolutely nothing to do with race, that’s quite a stretch you took. I’m beyond glad any WOC has a well paying job. Hell yes to that. I’m sure you are a great actress. My quibble (google it) is about execs & producers & @wb network trading on years of my work & name in such a cynical and obvious way – a money grab to cash in on the Charmed name. I do not care that they remade it, I have far bigger things I’m dealing with. I do not nor will I watch a show I disagree with on principle. This is not my ego trashing the reboot, this is the criticism of creators (those are the ones who should be embarrassed) with little to no imagination making bank off years of us busting our ass to create a legacy that you are actually profiting off of as well. I care that Hollywood won’t stop making remakes that don’t need to be remade. It’s a formula that’s gone too far for too long. Mediocrity rules there, not just sociopaths. There’s no soul or heart in something made purely for profit whilst refusing to elevate and innovate. Reboots will always be the shadow, the originals will always be the sun. I wish you well.
Best,
Rose McGowan

Despite 2020 being a crappy year for most of us, things were actually going pretty well for Reese Witherspoon – until now. Gossip Cop reports that one of her dogs passed away. She posted some pics and wrote, “Our sweet girl, Pepper, passed away last night from an aggressive cancer, which she’d been battling for months now. Just when we thought she was getting better, things took a turn for the worst, and she passed peacefully, surrounded by those who love her. If you ever met Peps, you’d know she was such a special girl. She was smart, sassy, and loved cuddling. She enjoyed playing in the yard with our Labrador, Hank, and would make everyone laugh with her surprisingly speedy ‘zoomies’ around the house."

Michael Keaton has added to the rumor that he could be reprising his role as Batman for the upcoming “The Flash” film. On “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Michael was asked about it, and he said, "I can't confirm anything. I can only say this, though... we’re having discussions, as they say. We’re talking about it. We’ll see if that happens.” See the video at gossipcop.com. He then went on to add that that he was the best Batman of all the film Batmans (we concur). He also jokingly said he puts on the mask and cape sometimes, explaining, "I will slip into it now and then. I'm just feeling insecure enough I just slip into the suit—makes me feel a whole lot better, walking around the neighborhood a bit..." Not gonna lie, I am finding that thought kinda sexy.
