A group of celebrities are participating in a 24-hour Instagram freeze Wednesday in partnership with Stop Hate for Profit as a protest against misinformation and unchecked hate speech, according to TMZ. Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Jamie Foxx, Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael B. Jordan, Sacha Baron Cohen, Naomi Campbell, Amy Schumer, Mark Ruffalo, and many more have promised Instagram silence for 24 hours. The want groups promoting violence, militia groups, white supremacy, conspiracy theories and other harmful content removed as well as misinformative posts. But for Facebook, who owns Instagram, it’s all about the First Amendment and censorship. So, why only a one-day strike? We suspect (as does TMZ) that these celebs rely so much on the money they make even from a single IG post that they’re not willing to lose too much money for the cause, just a little bit is okay. I guess even values come with a price tag.

Lady Gaga may soon be a superhero. The website We Got This Covered reports that Lady Gaga is in the running to play Emma Frost, The White Queen, in the next X-Men movie. The report claims Marvel wants Lady Gaga to take on the role when the mutant series when they take over the series from 20th Century Fox. The character, who is originally an X-Men enemy before becoming a group leader and has telepathic abilities, was originally played by January Jones in 2011’s “X-Men: First Class.”

Martha Stewart is getting into the CBD business, courtesy of her pal, Snoop Dogg, according to Page Six. He introduced her to current business partner, Canopy Growth, a line of “hemp-derived, cannabidiol-rich” gummies, soft gels, and oil drops. But in true Martha Stewart fashion, they come in gourmet flavors like Meyer lemon, blood orange and kumquat and huckleberry. Don’t expect to get high from Martha’s stuff, though – she said, “I’ll leave the THC offerings to Snoop.”

As we previously reported, “Dancing with the Stars” returned to ABC for season 29 on Monday with a few changes and surprises. But since the episode aired, fans have been sharing their disapproval of some of the changes. Most notably, they’re not happy that longtime host Tom Bergeron is gone, with Tyra Banks stepping in as the new host. Many Twitter users are taking issue with her hosting skills, others are saying it’s “nothing against” Tyra… she’s just not Tom Bergeron. Regardless of the backlash, the show has never been more popular. “Dancing with the Stars” managed to hit a three-year high in premiere ratings, even with Tyra as the new host.

“Star Wars” actor John Boyega has talked about how he felt used by the Star Wars franchise in terms of using him and other characters of color to promote a movie but then sidelining them in the actual movie. Now, it’s happened to him again, in a way. John just quit as an ambassador for the fragrance brand Jo Malone over what they did to him. According to The Guardian, John wrote, directed and starred in a commercial for Jo Malone’s aftershave. But, when it came time to air the ad in China, they replaced him and the rest of the Black actors with an Asian actor as the main character with other Asian and white actors. The brand has since apologized saying, “We deeply apologize for what on our end was a mistake,” adding, “John is a tremendous artist with great personal vision and direction. The concept for the film was based on John’s personal experiences and should not have been replicated.” They removed the ad, but the damage has been done. Similarly, when the “Star Wars” was promoted in China, he was removed from the poster.

Denise Richards may be leaving “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” but that doesn’t mean her arch enemy, Brandi Glanville, is letting up on her. Brandi just won’t stop talking about their alleged affair. Talking to “Daily Mail TV,” Brandi said her night with Denise happened just ten days after Denise married Aaron Phypers. Brandi also said Denise was the one who initiated it by being “sexually aggressive.” Brandi claims Denise invited her to the set of a movie she was filming. Denise allegedly came on to Brandi hard, and then they spent the night together, with the understanding that Aaron was okay with Denise being intimate with women but not men. To this day, Denise is still denying the affair ever happened. Brandi said, “All I'm interested in is getting the truth out there.” Why does it matter so much?

Jason Derulo starred in the movie adaptation of the musical Cats, and sadly, he realized afterwards, it was not the best decision. While many other celebrities had a role in the disastrous film, they can bury it among their many accomplishments. Unfortunately, this was Jason’s first foray into film. He told People, “For the longest time, I was trying to figure out what’s the perfect first role. ‘Cats’ checked all the boxes. You can’t get a more start-studded cast, you don’t get a more respected director than an Oscar winner, and Rum Tum Tugger is a legacy role, a standout character in a classic musical.” He was excited about the film at first, saying, “I thought it was gonna change the world.” It did, just not in a good way. But on a positive note, Jason was recently dubbed the king of Tik Tok, rumored to make at least $75,000 per post. So it looks like no one is holding the movie against him and it will just become a distant memory, all alone in the moonlight.

Dax Shepard has been sober for 16 years, but every now and then he’ll have a non-alcoholic O’Doul’s. So do his girls, Lincoln and Delta. Say what now? Yup. Kristen Bell shared something she probably shouldn’t have about her 5 and 7-year-old daughters on Carla Hall’s podcast, “Say Yes! with Carla Hall.” Here’s exactly what she said, “I’m going to get a lot of flack for this. And let me start by saying I don’t care. You’re allowed to give me any advice you guys want, any of these listeners. You’re welcome to tell me I’m a terrible parent. I don’t care. I’m a great parent, I think. I’m learning every day. My husband brought home a six-pack of O’Doul’s last night. And my daughters often ask for O’Doul’s. The reason for this is because when we first had our child and my husband would put her in the BABYBJÖRN and we’d walk around the neighborhood, he’d pop a non-alcoholic beer in his hand and the baby would paw at it and put the rim in her mouth. It’s a sentimental thing for my girls, right? It makes them feel close to their dad.” A family bike ride can make you feel close to your dad. Drawing with chalk on the sidewalk can make you feel close to your dad. Playing Monopoly can make you feel close to your dad. Having your kids acquire the taste for beer probably would not have made my top ten list in a million years. Drew Barrymore would probably agree with that.

Katy Perry just got a restraining order against a man she claims is stalking her and is potentially dangerous. TMZ reports that a 38-year-old man named William Terry has been posting messages about her on social media for months and threats directed at Orlando Bloom. The final straw was when the man jumped the fence last week at her Beverly Hills home. Katy, who was home with her newborn daughter when it happened, said he refused to leave with security so he was placed under citizen's arrest until the police came and arrested him for trespassing. He’s out now, though, so Katy wants protection asap.
Similarly, Heidi Klum also got a surprise visit last weekend at her L.A. home when a man showed up and starting banging on her front door. Heidi was home, but someone else answered the door. The guy left but they still called police, and they found him. They placed him on a 5150 psychiatric hold and say the man might not have even known it was Heidi’s home, according to TMZ.

Baby news (big)….
In a teaser for “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” it’s insinuated Kourtney and Scott Disick trying for baby #4, though they do love messing with us.
"The Vampire Diaries" star Claire Holt and husband Andrew Joblon announced the birth of their baby girl, Elle, on Sunday. Elle joins her big bro, 17-month-old son James.
Jude Law revealed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that his wife Phillipa, have welcomed their sixth child.
And, AceShowbiz reports that Hanson star Taylor Hanson, 37, and his wife Natalie are having their 7th child. He wrote, "The best kind of unexpected. Number seven coming this December” and she added, "biggest little surprise in a long time. baby number seven coming this December." The couple’s oldest is Jordan, 17, and their youngest is 21-month-old Claude. Interestingly, Taylor and his Hanson brother bandmates, Isaac and Zac, come from a family of seven kids.

Derek Jeter is selling his Tampa mansion that he rented to Tom Brady for $29 million, according to TMZ. Sure, it’s 30,875 square feet with 7 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms (8 full, 8 half), a pool, bar, gym, wine cellar, movie theater, and right on the water. But, isn’t it worth it to live in the air once shared by two legends (and don’t forget the supermodel wife).
